Price, Payment & Booking
Do you issue contracts?
Yes, we feel this is a very important part of the booking. Once all the details have been agreed we’ll send you out your contract via Email for your signature. It just takes a couple of clicks and it’s all sorted! With a signed contract your booking is 100% guaranteed.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes, there is a booking fee payable on return of the contract. Once the signed contract and booking fee are received your booking is 100% guaranteed.
Do you have a copy of your terms and conditions?
Our terms & conditions are available to view online by clicking here and scrolling down. You will also receive our terms & conditions with the contract.
My mate says he can do a disco for £100, can you match that?
I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able to match that. Our prices are competitive although not the cheapest offer superb value for money but you get what you pay for. The Wedding disco takes up a large part of the reception and can make or break the day. Bear in mind your “mate” will probably not have PLI or any PAT checks on his equipment and could well be refused entry to your chosen venue.
Can we pay for our booking online?
Certainly, you can pay via a BACs payment direct from your account to ours or if you prefer you can make a card payment over the phone. Debit cards are free but there will be a 3% surcharge for credit cards.
Can we come and see you play before our event?
As the majority of our work is private functions you can appreciate that it’s not really practicable for you to come along to someone else’s party, no one likes a gate crasher!
Do you have a promotional DVD?
As we tailor each event to the individual we feel that a promotional DVD can sometimes be misleading as everybody’s idea of their event is different. Thats why what you want is the most important thing to us.
Can we have additional hours on the night?
If the venues licence and their management is happy for us to continue then yes. Additional hours are charged at a flat rate payable on the night.
What is your usual playing time?
We usually like to base ourselves on a 4 1/2 hr set although this is flexible depending on your venue (usually 7.30pm until midnight).
How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you can! Bookings can be taken many years in advance. It’s never too early to book.
How much do you charge?
Every event be it a Wedding or a party are slightly different. When quoting you a price we take into account factors such as location, number of people attending, is there easy access to the venue are there any special requirement’s etc. Please call or email for a competitive quote.
Can we meet you before booking?
Of course. We can meet at your venue or I can visit you at home. Call the office to arrange a meeting.
We want something a bit different, can you do a quiz?
Yes we can! As long as you let us know before hand we can add a quiz with as many or few questions as you want.
Do you know any good bands we could hire?
We have a wide range of bands available to us ranging from Swing through to Ceilidh bands it all depends on your taste.
Do you know where we can hire a portable dance floor from?
You can hire from us! We have starlight “twinkling” floors and Black & White chequered floors just have a look at the page on the website.
Reliability & Safety
Do you have a Health & Safety method statement?
Yes, we do have a H & S method statement. It can be forwarded to the venue or we can send you a copy, just ask.
Our venue has asked for a risk assessment, do you have one?
Yes, we can forward this onto your venue or send you a copy.
How do we know that you will turn up?
Having attended over 500 events from Weddings to Corporate & Charity fundraisers our reputation is second to none. Even if there is illness or an unforeseen event on the way to you we have an extensive back up network be that other Dj’s or the RAC! We always turn up!
Is your equipment PAT (Portable Appliance Tested)?
Yes, all our equipment is regularly inspected by professional electricians as per current health and safety guidelines.
Do you have PLI (Public Liability Insurance)?
Yes, we have full cover up to £10m. Certificates are available to be forwarded to your venue upon request.
Music & Lighting
Can we have background music while the reception is on in the afternoon?
If you need Background music while you’re dining then that can also be done. Take a look at the “All Day” package as this covers everything for you.
Would we be able to have karaoke and a disco at the same event?
Sorry, we don’t do Karaoke.
Do you use Strobe lighting?
No. Unless specified by the client we don’t use strobe lighting , however we can on request bring strobe lighting with us.
Do you use Haze effects?
If the venue allows it then yes we would use haze to enhance the visual effects, but if you don’t want it, no problem!
Do you have lights?
Yes we do. We believe a disco should provide an allround package. Our lighting is the latest led type effects all of which are programmable to ensure they stay on the dancefloor and not in your guests eyes! If you have a specific lighting requirement please ask as i’m sure we’ll be able to sort it for you. Lighting is tailored to your event.
What sort of music will you play?
We carry a wide range of music from the 50’s through the 60’s, 70’s 80’s 90’s right up to today’s charts. If you want a full on dance party or a chilled birthday party then we’ll sort it for you. Remember once booked you have access to your own client area where you can build your own playlist.
Do your DJ's talk a lot?
Paul will talk as much or as little as you want. It’s your event so if you want just a large “Juke box” no problem equally if you want the full “Rave on , Phoenix nights” touch then you can have it! Of course we will do dedications and any announcements you require.
